FOR OVERSEAS MANUFACTURERS
Find a reason for a UK buyer to talk.
Tell me what your factory makes and where it can compete. I research real UK commercial needs, check the likely fit and explore a protected introduction where appropriate.
Introduce your factoryShow me the actual capability
Tell me what you make, what is made at your own site, where the site is, typical order sizes, available capacity and which markets you already serve. Product ranges and certificates are useful, but I will ask what a specific factory and document actually cover.
I look for UK buyers with a genuine requirement and ask whether your production, commercial terms and logistics could fit. This is focused research and introduction work, not a promise of a buyer or a blanket sales campaign.
Protect a valuable introduction
Where there is a potential match, we can discuss a written account-registration or introduction arrangement before I disclose a buyer’s identity. We would confirm whether the account is already known to you and what an introduction covers. No arrangement is in place just because you enquire.
After an introduction you handle technical discussions, product compliance, quotations, manufacture, delivery, contracts and after-sales matters with the buyer. Acorn does not claim to be your distributor, importer or exclusive UK sales agent by default.
Prepare for the UK conversation
A UK buyer may need clear answers about lead times, minimum orders, delivery terms, payment, samples, quality evidence and who will import the goods. Requirements vary with the product. Establish applicable rules and responsibilities with suitable specialists before committing to supply.
Start with a concise capability statement and one or two product families you want to sell. That gives me a better basis for research than an entire catalogue and a request for “any UK customer”.
Read the practical UK customer guide or see research areas under review.
INTRODUCE YOUR BUSINESS
Specifics make the match possible.
Name the product and manufacturing location. If a research area looks relevant, tell me which one and why. An enquiry does not promise a customer or create a representation agreement.
Tell me what you manufacture
Tell me what you actually produce or supply and where. If an area under review is relevant, name it below. Fields marked * are needed.
